How ATK Solution from Augsburg wants to increase the efficiency of the construction industry

Adrian Kuczmik went the way from a surveyor in Munich, through many years of experience abroad in Southeast Asia, to founding a company in Augsburg. In an interview, he reveals what his ATK Solution GmbH surveying and geoinformatics is all about.
Mr. Kuczmik, how does a surveyor end up in the Philippines?
"It was a unique opportunity that I really wanted to take. In 2012, I was given the opportunity to venture abroad. As head of a bussines unit I worked for the one of largest public noted construction company in the country. That ended up with nine years, a long period of life. This was of course not foreseeable"
Do you miss the western Pacific with the current temperatures?
"I gained valuable experience during this time, which also led to my return to Augsburg. Of course, I would prefer fewer cold and gray days. But I would always make the same decision to found a company in Germany."
Because you have fulfilled a dream with ATK Solutions?
"With my training in 1993, I entered the surveying industry. Even then, I was pursuing the idea of automating data collection and carrying out experiments with digitization. The programs I developed for this purpose were increasingly used in my daily work over time. To a certain extent, one's own company can be understood as a kind of self-realization."
After more than a year of company history, what are the business priorities?
"On the one hand, we cover classic methods of surveying, while we also focus on innovative processes. This includes, among other things, the use of laser scanning and the evaluation of point cloud data."
Which customer group do you reach with it?
"With our services, we want to appeal in particular to architects and larger construction companies. Accordingly, our offer is geared towards construction planning."
How do you facilitate their construction projects with your surveying techniques?
"In construction planning, the goal should always be to make decisions from the point of view of efficiency. With this premise, we support you with precise data, and from there possible adjustments in projects can be derived. ATK Solutions creates detailed floor plans, plant plans and building models for this purpose."
